The Manor House is a beautiful 15th century Grade II listed building, abundant in character & charm, and is located in the heart of the historic market town of Dronfield, Derbyshire. We are also perfectly situated as a base to explore the wonderful scenery of The Peak District & only a short drive into the city of Sheffield or Chesterfield.
The building itself was sympathetically renovated, re-designed & re-styled in 2009, and mixes the contemporary with the traditional to stunning effect. There is a delightful traditional bar area with original stone walls, wooden beams, styled seating areas, quirky picture windows & a stone fire-place, and is popular destination for locals & guests alike.
The rustically styled café lounge/restaurant opens & serves breakfast from 7am weekdays (8am weekends) , and is also open all day every day for teas, coffees & hot drinks, plus a wide selection of cakes, bakes, scones, other tempting treats. It’s the perfect comfortable space to wind down & take a break during a hectic day!

Each hotel room has been individually designed around the traditional features, and offers free wi-fi, flat screen TV, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, iron and ironing board.
In Dronfield we have a variety of local boutique and traditional village shops, plus many restaurants and attractions that are only a couple of minutes walk away. Free onsite parking is available for all our guests and we have a 24 hour front desk.
Ten minutes drive and you are in the magnificent Peak District, Derbyshire, with its popular nature trails, historic buildings and tourist attractions. Another five minutes and you will arrive at The Chatsworth House Estate and Gardens, one of the UK’s most famous Country Houses.
Sheffield City Centre, with its many leisure, shopping, & entertainment facilities is only a 15 minute drive away, as is the Sheffield Arena, one of the largest entertainment & indoor sporting venues in the UK.
For the serious shopper, Meadowhall, Sheffield, is one of Europe’s largest retail parks, & only a 20 min drive. The historic town of Chesterfield is 10 minutes drive in the opposite direction. Its busy shops and markets are situated within the shadow of its famous crooked spire.
Dronfield station is also less than a 5 minute walk with regular main-line services to Sheffield and Chesterfield.
